Interview: Dal Chodha on Show Notes

published on 29 April 2020

'There's so many different ways you can use words to say something more meaningful, and I think right now everybody is desperate to find meaning in every single tweet, Instagram post. We're trying to find profound meaning, and I think ... we should go back to words to find that meaning.'

Dal Chodha spoke to Sarah Kathryn Cleaver about his new book, Show Notes, 'the deconstructed diary entries of a frenzied writer attending fashion shows in London, Milan and Paris.' The writer, educator and editor touched on resisting the idea of productivity during the lockdown, feeling overwhelmed by images and the mistreatment of words in the fashion industry... even giving us a writing lesson in the process.
