Over the period of a decade, beginning in 1997, Nick Knight shot some of Dior's most iconic advertising campaigns. The work, marking a defining era in Dior's history when John Galliano served as creative director, entirely contemporised the brand's image, rewriting its visual language. In an interview with The New York Times in 2007, Knight recalled, 'John had this idea of bouleversement, of swiping the carpet from underneath this established French house, so everything spun into fantastic chaos.'
