The fifth look at Armani was a curiously special swirling print in a fade of colours on a short sleeve top with matching pants. It had a magic carpet feel complete with a little black hat and coordinating squat treasure bag and open-toe shoe. This sort of matchy matchy look was as classic as most of the other looks in the show, in keeping with the spirit of customer-pleasing couture. There were a lot of outfits like this, a full three, four piece 'suit' in one shiny pattern. It was fun to imagine what a younger girl might do to make one her own - or even which look she'd pick if she were to go full blown (orange top and cropped pant, for sure). As for classic evening looks, the best use of that odd little bar was across the top of the breast, connecting two thin straps of a sleek red dress. This wand was so strangely omnipresent that it started to seem like a kind of joke, a fashion relay race - please pass the baton.
