Born in Slovenia, Lucia Alic moved to London at that the age of 18 in search of a 'more thrilling life'. At 19, she enrolled at the London College of Fashion, graduated three years later from Fashion Photography and participated in the Mastered Photography course with Nick Knight. Currently residing in the city full time as a film maker and photographer, Alic is an embodiment of her work.
Exploring themes of sensuality, the unfamiliar qualities of the human form and her interest in 'otherness', Alic's work is dark, sensual; whilst also displaying an appreciation of the female form that stands for freedom and self-expression.
At 24, she has been featured in publications such as Vogue Italia, I-D & Dazed, her imagery was exhibited at the first Photo Vogue Festival and The many faces of Photo Vogue exhibition in Milan, having most recently photographed Tyler the Creator & Luka Sabbatt for Yoho Boy. Often using digital and film, Alic’s body of work combines her raw aesthetic with a sense of mystery and sensuality.
