  • What is your name and how would you describe what you do?

Dieter Grams: Duey Catorze. I make art, I accept the challenge of making sure reality is represented in my art. I also propose ideas for the near and distant future with the understanding that the future is shaped by our ideas of the future.

  • What's your background?

DG: Ethnically, Nigerian. Discipline, art history.

  • What inspires you?

DG: The work that is left to be done.

  • What is the ambition behind your practice?

DG: Defying all the limitations place on me and people that look like me place on us by people who fear the potential of our enlightenment.

  • What did you hope to convey with your Bodies Of Knowledge film?

DG: I wanted to plant the seed for a story that I could continue to tell.
