Artist: Maciej Szczygielski

published on 2 August 2021

Over three nights, we showcased the work of artist Maciej Szczygielski as part of an on-going virtual exhibition, streamed live from SHOWstudio. The artist’s 3D renders dissipate, glitch and dematerialise before the viewer's eyes, raising questions surrounding recognition and out of body experiences. Experimenting with scanning and online avatars, figures oscillate between human beings and cyborgs.
To interact, viewers could simply draw a sketch or write a message to be projected onto the SHOWstudio walls.
