Shoot Footage: Florence Biennale

published on 27 July 2015

Nick Knight and Lee McQueen first collaborated in 1996 on a series of images for the Florence Biennale. The photographs featured McQueen himself alongside model Carmen Hawk. They were McQueen's first step into image-making and art direction and in their graphic, jagged shape referenced prostitutes' calling cards. As always, Knight recorded the entire shoot for his archive using handycams.
