Everybody knows Rihanna knows how to generate serious buzz. Last night, amidst sparkling pink sand dunes and BMX stunt tricks, the ultimate bad girl presented her Fenty x Puma S/S 18 collection to an audience of Whoopi Goldberg, Cardi B and Big Sean. X Games style and Bondi surf was the mode, and deep sea blue nylon snowboard (or could be raver) pants and anorak coating emerged, alongside a strap-accented body suit (with a Fenty emblazoned peace size emblem), wetsuits turned mini dresses, and sporty neon swim, styled with distinct eighties vibes.
This collection oozed sex - what else would you expect? A hot pink and blue one piece suit read 'DROWNING' in all caps across the front; those same slope-ready pants slouched well below the waist and hips of the suit. Biker shorts came equipped with off the shoulder crop tops, laced up on the arms. White mesh mini shorts (reading 'wet' on the waistband) were layered over white undies. Skin-tight ski-style body suits had biking accents (ribbed knees) and electric appeal.The styling (along with the casting) was on point here.
Needless to say, Riri brought attitude and much needed excitement to NYFW. There were looks for the tomboy and the exhibitionist alike. Not bad at all.
